Only 1% of total water resources on earth are available for human use, while 70% of the earth's surface is covered with water, 97.5% of this water is saline. Of the remaining 2.5% is fresh water, almost 68.7% is frozen in ice caps and glaciers.

Up to 30% of fresh water is lost due to leakage in developed countries, and in some major cities, losses can be up to 40% to 70%. About 90% of sewage and 70% of industrial waste in developing countries is discharged into rivers without treatment, often polluting the usable water supply.

Extracting water from the air

The air carry between 6gr and up to 55gr of water/Kg of Air. By moving 900ton of Air (with our standard unit) will divide an average of 2,700Kg of water per hour, 65ton water per day.

In California, with a low relative humidity, we increased air intake of 2,700ton per day.


Clear air contains water; one estimate of the volume of water in the atmosphere at any one time is about 4,100 cubic miles (mi3) or 15,900 km3, about 0.001% of the total Earth's water volume of about 332,500,000 mi3 (1,385,000,000 km3). If all of the water in the atmosphere rained down at once, it would only cover the globe to a depth of 2.5 centimeters, about 1 inch and we have it fresh and complete new every 9 days, already desalinated. The EAWC - AWG operation seeks to follow this principle and without negative impact at the environment.

The EAWC Concept seeks to be completely self-sufficient and no water access is necessary for cooling or processing the operation. The water generated by the operation may fed direct in the Colorado River or the main water pipeline for the Southern California Water Destrict. The water from the atmosphere fulfill the WHO standard for portable water and does not need any further treadment.


On the one hand, the machines used in mining operations needed to be: compact; durable; very mobile; and, easy to handle. On the other hand, it had to provide enough cooling power to cool down coal mines of enormous size. We believe that this exceptional performance was achieved in the design of a highly efficient heat exchanger known as "the spiral heat exchanger" and which offers a huge water extraction potential. As such, the spiral heat exchanger became the core of Atmosphere Water Generator.
